GM MESSAGE

A Message From the Grand Master of British Freemasons in Germany:

Welcome to the Homepage of the Grand Lodge of British Freemasons in Germany, one of the five Grand Lodges within the United Grand Lodges of Germany.

Whether you are a Freemason or not I hope this Homepage will be of interest to you and further explain what we represent.

Our main aim is to help as many of those who are not as fortunate as ourselves, within or outside our fraternity whenever possible. Charity is always foremost in all our minds and I am absolutely certain it will always stay this way.

Membership or Freemasonry is open to all men of all faiths who acknowledge a supreme being and who are law abiding and of good character.

We have in Germany 16 British Lodges, should you ever consider applying to become a member it should never be for material gain or personal advancement, as I can assure you that a true Freemason would never consider any act that was against the law of the land or anybody’s religious beliefs.

We have been criticized by many over the years and because of this the Brotherhood of Freemasons has opened its doors for all to see in an effort to dispel the rumours put about by those who do not understand us.

I hope this small message will help one and all to understand who we are and what we represent.

Finally a note of thanks to all to you for visiting our Website not only as a Freemason but especially to those who are not yet members. In any event I hope that you visit our Site again and if as a Freemason, perhaps even one of our 16 Lodges here in Germany. Our Grand Secretary whom you will find on our Website will further you with this information.

May we all of Grand Lodge wish you well for the future and hope to hear from you very soon.

Warmest greetings

Frederick T. Colbran (Grand Master)
